Almost, Maine!

 Almost, Maine!
-This play was one of the cutest plays I have ever heard of!  It was a bunch of different scenarios formed together into one play about love and life;  all taking place in a town that isnt quite a town yet in Almost, Maine.

I played the part of Steve.  He has congenital analgesia.  This simply means that he cannot feel pain.  As you can see in the pictures, I am writing in two notebooks.  They are filled with information on what is suppose to hurt, and what I am suppose to fear.  My brother, Paul, is the one who teaches me all of this stuff!
-My good friend, Keely McGill plays the part of the female in this scene.  I can't remember her character name.  But in the picture, you see she is doing laundry and I am studying my books.  This is our first time meeting in the lodge.
-When she packs up her stuff and prepares to leave, she accidentally whacks me upside the head with the ironing board.  Because of my illness, I don't feel a thing.  Then throughout the scene, we discuss my illness, and get to know each other a little bit.
Above you see something that looks like exactly what you are thinking.  Out of nowhere, she just kisses me.  But what you don't know is that she has a boyfriend.  This kiss confuses Steve big time because he thought he was suppose to be afraid of girls and hurt by them.

-At the end of the scene, she packs up all her stuff again, and of course, smacks me in the head with the ironing board again.  But to everyone's surprise, it hurts!
Almost, Maine was not my favorite play, but it was definitely one of my favorites and it was a lot of fun to do.  I really enjoyed working with the cast and Keely McGill.
