College Life

Yes, I know I said I would be writing more often.  Obviously, that has not been happening.  Life can get pretty rough without a laptop!
Bellarmine University Class of 2016

So, as you may know, I have started my new life in Louisville, Kentucky at Bellarmine University on August 18, 2012.  August 18 was move-in night.  Bellarmine had a lot of things planned for us as a part of orientation, and we did this event called crossroads.  It was such a blast, and I got to know a ton of people.
With all these new experiences and changes, I was not scared or nervous for class to start at all.  The first semester I am taking:

*Spanish
*Acting 1
*Expository Writing
*Western World History
*Technical Theatre
*Freshman Focus
*Pep Band  (yeah, I get a grade for this!)

Some things I am involved in on campus are:

*Pioneer Scholars (1st year generation students)
*BUknighted (Gay-Straight Alliance)
*STAGE (theatre club)
*KAH (Kids Agaisnt Hunger charity organization)

As you all know, I am a theatre major and I love to perform.  Well I have been casted in my first college production.  It is titled Frida Kahlo:  A PortraitThe show opens next week.  I play Male 1, who plays Alejandro, Nicholas Murray, a police officer, and a chorus member.  The play is about the life and struggles of Frida Kahlo, the most successful female Mexican painter.

The Cast of Frida Kahlo:  A Portrait.
I am loving my new change in my life and am looking forward to what Bellarmine has in store for me, or should I say I have in store for Bellarmine.

Isaac's Big Day

One of my best friends, Isaac Schmitt, had his big and exciting move day today!  He applied and recieved a teaching job at Borden High School in Borden, IN.  Isaac had been packing all week this week and we finished up packing and loading this morning.  I stayed over at his house so I could get up and help him out.  It was a pretty emotional day for his family, him and I.  Isaac moved in with his friend Tayla at her house there in Borden.  So it was a pretty sweet deal!  The best part is that he is only about 30 minutes from Louisville, which is where I will be moving for college at Bellarmine University!

After we unloaded at Isaac's new crib, we went to eat at this pizza place, then finally, said our goodbyes.  It was super hard not to cry, but I did not want to in front of his family.  He has been one of the best friends I have ever had.  I sure am gonna miss my broski!  Not sure where our friendship is going now.

The Wedding Singer

I tried my best to arrange these photos but it just all became a mess.
The Wedding Singer was a success and a blast!  I had so much fun playing a wide variety of characters and dancing as different characters.  I think I got to be in about every scene as some type of character.  The choreography was phenomenal, but that is expected with Sylvia as a choreographer.  I think this show was a perfect way to end my senior year at Boonville High School!

Almost, Maine!

 Almost, Maine!
-This play was one of the cutest plays I have ever heard of!  It was a bunch of different scenarios formed together into one play about love and life;  all taking place in a town that isnt quite a town yet in Almost, Maine.

I played the part of Steve.  He has congenital analgesia.  This simply means that he cannot feel pain.  As you can see in the pictures, I am writing in two notebooks.  They are filled with information on what is suppose to hurt, and what I am suppose to fear.  My brother, Paul, is the one who teaches me all of this stuff!
-My good friend, Keely McGill plays the part of the female in this scene.  I can't remember her character name.  But in the picture, you see she is doing laundry and I am studying my books.  This is our first time meeting in the lodge.
-When she packs up her stuff and prepares to leave, she accidentally whacks me upside the head with the ironing board.  Because of my illness, I don't feel a thing.  Then throughout the scene, we discuss my illness, and get to know each other a little bit.
Above you see something that looks like exactly what you are thinking.  Out of nowhere, she just kisses me.  But what you don't know is that she has a boyfriend.  This kiss confuses Steve big time because he thought he was suppose to be afraid of girls and hurt by them.

-At the end of the scene, she packs up all her stuff again, and of course, smacks me in the head with the ironing board again.  But to everyone's surprise, it hurts!
Almost, Maine was not my favorite play, but it was definitely one of my favorites and it was a lot of fun to do.  I really enjoyed working with the cast and Keely McGill.

Catching Up

So, I FINALLY got around to posting up a video!  And the good news is, it is a lot shorter than the one I had made before.

Fail

Aye guys, so I sincerely apologize, again.  I was creating the video to catch you guys up.  It was a total of 30 minutes long.  Then I started to watch it to see how it went, and I realized I forgot to turn on the microphone.  So there was no sound on the video.  I'll redo that this weekend.  Probably Sunday!!!

I promise I'll try my best! :]
